Chairs are not only useful as part of furniture but it can also be an excellent stuff for babies. That is why parents of all ages see to it that quality high chairs should be made available to their children.
The Graco Classic Wood Highchair has a warm wood and versatile design. It is one baby item you can use for years and even in generations. There are many reasons why a Graco Classic Wood Highchairis worth buying.
Wood styling, a removable plastic tray cover and its quality construction are the main features of this product. I love this product because of its cushioned, wipe clean seat pad, 3-point harness and a clear dishwasher-safe, pull-out tray insert that shows off and protects the wood finish. Further, as your baby grows, you can then take off the seat pad and change to a smaller snack tray. And so, it turns into a toddler chair. The older kids can also use it in reaching the dinner table or doing homework on the kitchen counter.
To stress, one thing that I really like in the Graco Classic Wood Highchair is its subtle design and high-quality construction. I also enjoy the chair’s removable clear plastic tray cover that protects the wood without hiding it.
Here are some advantages of Graco Classic Wood Highchair:
* The back is curved. It is a very sturdy wooden high chair, easy to assemble and attractive too.
* Compared to the picture, the seat cushion is prettier to look at in actual. The cushion ties snap on and it looks like they are tied. Small spills wipe off easily and until now I haven’t washed it yet. The harness can also be washed.
* The plastic cover tray is also attractive and easy to remove. You can wash it by hand though it says that it is safe for dishwasher. You may want to add a layer of clear coat if you want to use the tray without the plastic cover.
The following though, are the drawbacks for this chair:
* The chair does not tilt back and the crotch post does not allow for any adjustments to cater different-sized babies.
* It is also more expensive than highly rated plastic models like that of the Fisher-Price Rainforest Highchair.
* One deficiency that was found out is the bar in the center between the child’s legs. It is not adjustable and there is something wrong with the design. It goes too far back in the seat. The screw covers need to be removed and drilled. When I tried to pry it off, I did not realize that it was also glued. Since it ended up peeling off a thin layer of wood and finish, I had to use wood filler.
* The manufacturer’s description was also ambiguous. It says that the Graco Classic Wood Highchair‘s snack tray, when removed, can still be used for the toddler. However, the chair’s height cannot be adjusted. It cannot be used as a regular table since the toddler would have to do a lot of leaning. It can be used though for a breakfast bar or counter.
