My Newborn Baby Has Mucus Like Discharge And A Little Blood Coming Out Of Her Vagina, Is This Normal?

She has a doctor appointment tomorrow,but I just wanted to know if any of your newborn babies experienced this as well.

Baby Gear June 21, 2009 at 1:03 am: It’s totally normal. That’s pretty mean that your hospital didn’t mention that to you before you went home. Mine told me all about the things that would happen. I know I would freak out if my newborn was having a little “period” and I didn’t know it was normal.

Rae June 21, 2009 at 1:03 am: It’s totally normal and it only lasts a few days. It’s a result of all the hormones still in her little body. Don’t worry about it at all but ask your doctor to reassure you and to put your mind at ease.
