Is it just me, or did you too find something beautiful about bringing your child into the world naturally. I think it is a feeling that only someone who has given birth naturally could feel or even know what I am talking about. I’m not knocking anyone who’s had pain management. I kept the option open during my delivery. There is just something about a natural childbirth that can’t be put into words. Does anyone else know what I’m talking about?

I had all four of my children naturally. I know what your talking about. I loved being able to bring my babies into the world without the use of pain medication (not that I think that its bad if you do)
I had my son naturally, and quite frankly, I said bring on the drugs when I had my daughter later on. I’m glad you enjoyed it but it’s not for me.
I felt like Superwoman! my labor really wasn’t that bad. If it were it would’ve been hard to avoid drugs, but I felt so empowered, feeling every sensation and since it was only 4 hrs long, i am definitely doing it again in 3 months and praying it goes just as fast.
my first birth with my daughter i took an epidural because i was in a lot of pain, i tried to get an epidural with my son but it was too late. i felt everything from his nose to his shoulders to his little bitty feet. Afterwards it seems like it was a wonderful experience because i have a story to tell and so does everyone else who was in the room that i was screaming at lol. giving birth is a wonderful, joyous moment, and if youre up for the challenge, giving birth natural is the most memorable experience….
yes i know exactly what you are talking about it is amazing but being 2 days overdue with my second not looking forward to it again that much lol
Yes I know what you mean I had my son natural who is now 6 months old. I’ll be honest I did not have much pain in birth or with contractions My labor was not very long either i had him in a few hrs when I have my next child I will definetly go natural again.
yes…i feel special to be able to know that i had natural childbirth..it was great to be sitting up and eating breakfast, and talking on the phone 30 minutes after i delivered…i, too, kept my options open…i would recommend it to anyone…it’s so much better for the baby, but people have different pain tolerance, and it’s not for everybody…
No it’s not just you! It’s a beautiful feeling. I have 2 children and they were both natural childbirth.
I too have been fortunate enough to experience three natural births. I believe that if you trust in your own body and it’s ability to do what it is meant to do you will have the most empowering and beautiful experience of your life. I agree that pain management is a pesonal choice as long as people make informed decisions and do not feel pressured. It’s a shame that so many look back on their childbirth experience negatively. If only they new what they were missing.
I am on my third pregnancy.
In my first delivery, two years ago, I was VERY afraid and made sure I was chalk-full of “pain managemnet” I was on pain-reducing medications as well as an epidural. Then again, I was induced and that caused my pain to skyrocket.
My second child, who is now one, was brought into the world naturally. A mother knows that fighting through the pain is worth it as it allows her to realize what a blessing she has brought into the world.
Besides, I forgot about the pain the instant he was out. I plan on having this baby medication-free as well if possible, it is something I will never forget.
I had a completly natural birth with my 2nd child cause I got to the hospital almost too late. I dont see why I was so scared to do it the first time around. For me it was like menstral cramps all the way up til the delivery. None of it was that bad though and I plan on skipping the drugs with the new baby too.
Absolutely. I had 2 natural births and I dont think you know what birth is actually like until you feel it!!! Yes it hurts but it was a great experience….
I know exactly what u’re talking about, I had my 2 sons naturally and there are no words to describe how u feel after you have brought that child into the world and u hear him cry…no words..
I’ve had three kids, two with epidurals, and one naturally. Frankly, I have to say the birth experience was just as beautiful all three times. What I did like better with the natural birth, was how great I felt after – I could get up and walk right after, go the bathroom etc. Otherwise, birthing is an amazing experience however it happens!
Yes its a great sense of acomplishment and I am so glad I did it. Not to mention the babies where awake and alert and able to nurse well right after words. I was awake and able to enjoy it too. The first moments of your child’s life is not something you want to choose to miss.
I know exactly what u mean. I did have a bit of demerol 2 take the edge off, but I actually felt my children coming into the world. It was the most beautiful, excruciating pain I have ever felt. I think women who opt 4 an epidural before it even starts are cheating themselves.
I just had my first cild 7 weeks ago and I did have an epidural. I thought of the idea of having a natural birth and dialated 7cm before opting for the epidural. The pain before that was there but it was bearable. My water had not broken and they were going to break my water which I’ve heard makes the pain a lot stronger. I was worried that if the pain got too unbearable I would want the pain medication and it may be too late. Even though I was not able to have that experience I understand what you mean though, that was the reason I thought about having a natural childbirth to begin with. That feeling that you were able to do it the way it was meant to be and actually feel your child coming into the world. Congratulations!
